The Steering Committee for "UCF Celebrates the Arts" is seeking event proposals that will showcase UCF's artists and creative community and bring attention to our year-round campus activities. We are particularly interested in presenting innovative, high-quality events and exhibits that are unexpected, innovative or interactive. The ideas for these events can come out of classes, independent projects or collaborative works associated with the university. Suggestions can come from anyone in the community, but the participants in the event/exhibit must have an affiliation with UCF. UCF will be in residency at Dr. Phillips Center from April 1-14, 2024.
The steering committee uses these criteria to determine inclusion in the festival:
- Does it showcase the creative work and talents of UCF students and faculty?
- Is it logistically and financially feasible?
- Is it an interdisciplinary/collaborative event that engages with other units at UCF or community partners?
- Will it attract attention nationally or regionally, and will it draw a target audience?
- Is it unique, innovative or new to the festival?
- How does it intersect with UCF's Unleashing Potential strategic plan?
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis. Apply at ucf.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bpItGgF2p3ogL2K .
