UCF's Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) proudly highlights the achievements of Emilee Howard, Intramurals Coordinator, who served as the Rules Expert for both the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Game and the NFL Flag Girl’s High School Showcase. The prestigious events took place on Sunday, Feb. 2, showcasing top-tier athletic talent and sportsmanship.
In her role at the NFL Flag Girl’s High School Showcase, Howard ensured the integrity of the game by applying her expertise in 7v7 flag football rules. The showcase featured standout athletes from 14 states where girls’ flag football is recognized as an official high school varsity sport, emphasizing the growing prominence of the sport nationwide.
Howard's expertise was also integral to the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Game, where she collaborated directly with the ESPN Production team. Seated alongside producers, she provided real-time clarification on in-game rules questions, ensuring accurate information was communicated to the ESPN commentary team. Her background as an Intramurals Coordinator and officiating professional added valuable legitimacy to her role, enhancing the broadcast's quality and credibility.
“While I was focused on answering rules-related questions and providing insight, it was an incredible experience to support such a great event and represent UCF on this national stage,” Howard says.
Howard's contributions reflect the exceptional caliber of professionals within UCF's RWC, underscoring the department’s commitment to leadership in sports and wellness. Her involvement at the Pro Bowl highlights the vital role of officiating knowledge in the broader sports industry and serves as an inspiration to students and colleagues alike.
